SPLASH INTO SUMMER AT BROWN HILL

Member for Eureka Michaela Settle today joined Ballarat City Council Mayor, Cr Tracey Hargreaves to formally open the new splash park at Brown Hill Reserve, made possible by a $1 million investment.

Brown Hill is booming with young families and has a strong sense of community. This new space will only add to that. The new splash park provides free access and is a great way to get more kids away from screens and to enjoy the health benefits of the great outdoors.

It gives families across the region another safe, welcoming place to spend time together — not just this summer, but for years to come.

It comes complete with a mixture of water play areas including a discovery, exploration, and adventure zone with features ranging from a large dumping bucket and water cannons to more gentle and predictable water effects.

The new Splash Park also comes complete with accessible change facilities, public bathrooms, connecting pathways and natural landscaping, providing a great space for families to get together and enjoy this summer and beyond.

Michaela Settle MP acknowledged Ballarat City Council for its $1.99 million contribution and commitment to delivering the project.

“Summer’s here and kids are ready to get in the water and have some fun. Places like this really matter — they help keep our community healthy and bring people together across our community.”
