KINDER SURPRISE FOR GORDON PRIMARY SCHOOL
More young learners in Gordon are getting a first-class early education closer to home – and families are saving time and money – with the Allan Labor Government investing in a new kinder at Gordon Primary School.
Member for Eureka Michaela Settle today officially announced the kindergarten at Gordon Primary School – giving Gordon families state-of-the-art early learning facilities close to home. The kindergarten at Gordon Primary School will provide roughly 119 kindergarten places for children to play, explore and learn in.
These facilities set to open for Term 1, 2026 will be designed in consultation with school communities and local councils – providing more families in the Moorabool Shire and children with high-quality, tailored early years education close to home.
The Labor Government is ensuring every new Victorian primary school has a kindergarten on-site or next. Locating kindergartens on or close to schools supports children to get the most out of their early learning, makes drop-off more convenient for busy parents and carers, and helps with a smoother transition to primary school. Through our nation-leading $14 billion Best Start, Best Life reforms, the Government is transforming early childhood education to help children thrive, save families money, and support parents and carers to return to work or study if they choose.

“Gordon is a growing community with an incredible school. Having a kinder onsite will make the commute even easier for parents for pick-ups and drop-offs and will help build on the already strong bonds in the community.”
