BACCHUS MARSH NETBALL ASSOC. HELPING BOOST PARTICIPATION FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS

The Bacchus Marsh Netball Association is receiving a grant from the Allan Labor Government to help increase opportunities for women and girls to take part in netball. The club will use its grant money to be able to reduce their fees so they can be more accessible to the community, bring in more participants, and encourage more players to take up training to become coaches and umpires.

State Member for Eureka Michaela Settle today congratulated the club for securing funding in the 2023-24 Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program.

The program offers grants of up to $10,000 to eligible organisations to provide more opportunities for women and girls to take part in community sport.

Bacchus Marsh Netball Association is one of 119 successful recipients in this round. The Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program highlights the Allan Labor Government’s ongoing commitment to gender equality across all levels of the Victorian sport and active recreation sector.

Since the Program was established in 2018, 580 grants have been provided to support community sport and recreation organisations to host initiatives ranging from participation days to community forums and educational sessions.

The grants are part of the Government’s $18.8 million investment in the Change Our Game initiative.
